Palm IRDA W2K Hotsync

Read the info carefully on this download page for the palmone HotSync software for configuring synchronization with infra red (on Windows 2000, and probably some other versions of Win.)

Setup Instructions for Infrared (IR) HotSync®

To enable IR HotSync:

  1. Exit HotSync Manager.
  2. Go to the Windows Control Panel and double click the "Wireless Link" icon.
  3. In the "Image transfer" tab, uncheck the box for "Use Wireless Link to transfer images from a digital camera to your computer".
  4. Disable any other application that opens the IR port.
  5. Restart HotSync.
  6. Go to the HotSync menu and check the "Infrared" menu item.
  7. You can now synchronize via IR.
