Google Chrome Notes

I had to restore my bookmarks after a bad sync from a seldom used computer wiped out the current bookmark setup. To do this browse to: C:\Users\xyz\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default (in Vista, anyway), and rename the "bookmark.bak" file to "bookmark". Removing (or, better, renaming, the existing bookmark file first)

-
OLD: The Great Suspender (author sold in late 2020, new owner is sus)

Saved Auto-Suggested URLs - Deleted by arrow key to highlight. Then Shift+Delete

Flags
-
Testing this flag, which apparently is default cache on Android: chrome://flags/#enable-simple-cache-backend
-
#smooth-scrolling - seems to make my mouse scroll wheel a lot better in Chrome - less jumpy - 2019-
-
#proactive-tab-freeze - new 2019-12 - supposed to freeze inacive tabs
-
chrome://flags/#enable-heavy-ad-intervention - supposed to cap CPU cycles an ad can use
-
Last Chrome for XP and some new certificates:
