Upgrade Windows 2000 NIC

I had an odd problem with upgrading a network card in a Windows 2000 server to a Gigabit Ethernet card.  With the static IP address assigned to the old NIC, Windows would complain and generally not route packets properly.

SO.... remove the IP address before attempting to swap the NIC.
