Recover Dialup Password in Windows XP
Nirsoft, the folks behind another useful tool, nircmd, have this free program to recover the password in a dial up account. A true treasure trove of tools. There's also a network sniffer for POP3 passwords -- how many times have I struggled to do that for clients? Ditto MS Office install key.

IP Address of Dialup User
- when connected, icon w/two blue boxes (they're supposed to be computer screens blinking to each other) shows up by clock
- right click on it. select "status"
- there are two tabs, "General" (the one that opens initially) and "Details"
- Details tab shows device name, some 1/2 dozen other items, then "Server IP Address" and "Client IP Address" (you want the client IP, probably).
- hmmm... I guess I've run into this before... my own blog post, getting the IP address of a dialup user.
