Window Management (in Windows) - Always on Top, Lost Offscreen, etc.

Program window lost off screen:

Works when maximized. But once minimized or restored the window is "gone", "missing", etc. It's actually placed off the edge of the visible screen.

XP: Right click on program in Task Bar.
Win7: Shift+Right Click program in Task Bar.

Select move.

Use KEYBOARD ARROW KEYS to trigger the window to reset it's position. It's kind of weird, the cursor is offscreen so you can't see what you are doing, eventually Windows (Explorer?) realizes the window is off the screen and moves it.

Keep on Top:

This free tool, Glass2k, is mostly about making a window semi-transparent in Windows 2000 and XP.  I use it for making abitrary windows stay on "Always on Top".  It's great for watching pesky web based video streams in the corner of the screen. Or waiting in a queue for web support chats. Still works in Windows 10!

Window Management for Split Screen Layouts

Win10 has built in options. Winsplit-Revolution was a good shareware for earlier versions of Windows and is still useful over RDP. Be careful, not all keystroke combinations get sent over RDP.

TESTING, TENTATIVELY SEEMS TO WORK: Winredock - for remembering which screen programs are on

For whatever reason, my laptop and external secondary screen keep moving all windows onto the laptop display after every screen saver session. Winredock is supposed to try and restore the layout.
