Advanced Driver
The advanced driver used to be named ADT205e.exe, adt206e.exe, adt210e.exe, etc. The replacement to these is the ATM_304E.exe series. Now if only Epson would make these drivers easier to find...
Cash Drawer Cable
The RCA (AKA phono) -> RJ12 - 6 wire (phone cable look-alike but not) cash drawer cable is not really that unique for a single cash drawer situation. I think that the 6 conductor wire allows for two cash drawers to be run from a single Epson receipt printer.
NOT sold with receipt printer. Typically bundled with cash drawer.
Epson Drawer Kick ( DK ) connector - 6 Pin connector - left to right when facing end.
- Pin 1 - Frame GND
- Pin 2 - Drawer 1 Kick-out signal (output)
- Pin 3 - Drawer open/close signal (Input)
- Pin 4 - 24V
- Pin 5 - Drawer 2 kick-out signal (output)
- Pin 6 - Signal GND

You can make a working cable using a 4 wire phone RJ11 cord and an RCA cord (only supports 1 drawer, I think):
- Green goes connects to the centre pin of the RCA plug - I think this maps to pin 4 on the 6 pin.
- Black goes to the outer ring of the RCA plug - I think this maps to pin 2 on the 6 pin connector
Test Page:
Turn the printer off then put your finger on the feed button and hold it there while you turn it back on you do not need to have it hooked up to the computer to do this.
Open Cash Drawer:

This page suggests sending a longer pulse to open the cash drawer... haven't tested.
Under Document Settings
Select Send Command
The command to enter is: 1B 70 00 C8 FA
Using the Send command as on option will generate a 200ms pulse to the cash drawer #1 line.
