user principal name (UPN)

• Windows 2000 domains and newer. Preferred.
• Default is username@domain name.
• You can add alternate UPNs. Active Directory Domains and Trusts, and then right click Properties. THEN, I think you need to configure EACH user to use the alternate UPN (!). Further, there is no way to default new users to the new Alternate UPN. Sigh.
