The Microsoft Systprep tool can really come in handy when you want to change the motherboard of a computer. It swaps out all the hardware device drivers so that upon the next boot, Windows 2000 will do scans to properly detect the new hardware (i.e. MB). It's intended for image deployment (e.g. Ghost/G4U/etc.) but it comes in handy for hardware upgrades too.
