Unsynchronized MPEG-2 video and audio

MPEG audio + video sync issues in VLC - check if avi is interleaved - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=79964

----------

Had some trouble with playing back an SVCD format MPEG-2 file on my PC.  I couldn't figure out how to get the audio and video synchronized properly... and I ended up with this:

The VLC client from videolan.org.  It only plays video and audio, and I suspect (but haven't been able to figure out for sure) that it has built in codecs.  This bypasses any broken or incorrect codecs that might throw off all other Windows video players.  Any way, it worked well.
