• Search Packages -

Ubuntu:

• Some animations are hard coded in Ubuntu 14 and are super slow in virtual machines (e.g. Xen), over remote access, etc. This isn't going to change, IMHO don't fight it. Ubuntu is designed for ease of use. Mint or Debian may be better while being package compatible. Eg. http://askubuntu.com/questions/138622/how-to-disable-all-unity-animations?rq=1
• Ubuntu 14 - IP address settings -  edit /etc/network/interfaces
